Training based on Haz & Zard: The Hazard Management Training Kit is now being used at Western Power to improve the hazard identification and management skills of the transmission delivery workforce.
Western Power is an electrical networks corporation responsible for distributing electricity over 88,000 kilometers of power lines in southwest Western Australia.
As a result of examining several incidents, Western Power identified a need to improve the ability of their workforce to identify hazards and to more effectively use the company’s Job Risk Assessment form.
“The quality of JRA forms completed during the course is much better than that we typically see. Attendees also are genuinely impressed with the course and its delivery.”
- Neil Willis, Maintenance Services Manager, Western Power Corporation
