 Demonstrating that protecting people and the planet is good for business requires An Meá to lead by our example. We must therefore have clear values - and the strength of conviction to stick to them.

Our values are underpinned by our Business Principles. These drive us to be open, fair, and honest and to conduct our business ethically, and in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.
Our Business Principles are supported by more detailed Policies that clearly state our attitude and approach to managing specific issues.
We recognise that open and transparent communication with interested parties is fundamental to building their trust and respect. We therefore openly provide information about our business partnerships, memberships, our corporate structure and our views.
We conducted a Business Principles Survey in order to assess whether we meet our own expectations and that our Business Principles are understood and adhered to by our staff, contractors and business partners. For an outline of the results and subsequent recommendations, please refer to the Chairman’s Statement.
We believe that true transparency relies not only on disclosing what you are prepared to, but on being open in stating what you are not prepared to disclose. An Meá has therefore developed a disclosure matrix describing the type of information we are prepared to tell to our stakeholders.
