An Meá has sought out industry bodies and community groups that share our views on sustainable development agendas, or provide us with the opportunity to express our views to relevant stakeholders.

We believe that there is no point in being part of the 'silent majority'. We will only pledge our support to a particular industry body or community group if we are prepared to be actively involved. We also believe that if we actively support a particular group or initiative, we should be open in declaring this support.

Australian Conservation Foundation
The Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) is the most respected and influential community environmental organisation in Australia. An Meá has been a corporate Associate Member of the ACF since March 1998 because we support the ACF's direction and approach to progressive environmental action. We will continue to maintain a dialogue with, and offer our support to the ACF on the issue of Corporate Environmental Responsibility.

Australian Business Limited
Australian Business Limited (ABL) provides business support and a lobbying voice for more than 5000 of its member companies. An Meá joined ABL in 2002. Our original reason for joining was to receive advice and services. However, we have come to realise that active involvement with ABL provides us with the opportunity to express our views to fellow members, and to influence policy decisions and lobbying efforts made on behalf of Australian industry.
